Erden Eruc breaks world record for days
at
sea by an ocean rower. A Fiorentino anchor
helps combat strong currents.
Before Seattle based Erden Eruç began his row
boat adventure, he worked as a
technical consultant. A graduate degree in
engineering and an MBA, Erden decided at the age
of 41, to leave the money, the rat race, and an
unfulfilling career behind for the adventure
that he had been dreaming of for years. He is
now focused full-time on tending to his
responsibilities as the founder and President of
Around-n-Over.
On May 10 Erden broke the record for days at sea
by an ocean rower. This record was previously
held by Peter Bird. Erden attempt to cross the
pacific without resupply ended on May 17
bringing his total days at sea in a rowboat
without resupply to 316, the new world record.

the north end of Shark Island...
